Exploring how product designers can engage more deeply with AI systems and shape the future of the field.

As AI began to more directly influence product strategy and system behavior, I noticed a growing gap between how designers were being asked to engage with AI-driven products and how well we understood the underlying concepts shaping those systems.

My article, “From design to direction: Bridging product design and AI thinking” was first published by UXCollective and I later created a companion presentation to help ServiceNow product designers build a more foundational understanding of AI not from an engineering perspective, but from a design one. The goal was to raise awareness of the mental models, constraints, and opportunities that would increasingly shape our work.
